Mapping climate modelling

We are aiming to map the physical science literature regarding climate modelling (Including Earth System Models, Regional Climate models and Athmospehere-Ocean General Circulation Models) in the period 2000-2020. We aim to cover the literature in which components of the climate system are studied in relation to each other but not the literature that discusses separate components. We have developed a lexical search query based on the models included in CMIP3, CMIP5, CMIP6. This lexical search query will be used to search in titles, abstracts and keywords. The results (the search as it is now gives 39k hits) will be used as a seed and will be enriched by citation analysis. This means that publications that are not identified but are cited by or cite many publications that are included will also be included.

We are in doubt about including ("general circulation model*" AND climat*), "climate simulation*", "climate prediction*" but there are of course many more keywords we might include.
